Lil Italy, an American rapper, initially gained recognition as G-Note of California rap group Funk Mobb. From 1994 to 1998, Funk Mobb was signed to E-40's label, Sick Wid It Records, before eventually disbanding.

In 1998, Lil Italy joined No Limit Records under a new stage name and released his debut album, On Top of da World, in 1999. The album reached #99 on the Billboard 200 and #20 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It featured notable collaborations with Silkk the Shocker, Snoop Dogg, and Magic. However, due to underwhelming sales, Lil Italy was subsequently dropped from the label.

In 2001, Lil Italy released his second album, Full Blown, through independent label K-Lou. Despite its release, the album did not achieve any significant chart success.
